New study in Nature Communications - Salipro® enables to unlock the structural dynamics behind an ion channel in Arabidopsis thaliana using cryoEM
Plants sense and react to the continued exogenous and endogenous mechanical cues through the activation of mechanosensitive (MS) ion channels, allowing them to adapt to their dynamic environment.
In this study the Salipro® technology enabled to unlock the secrets of plant mechanosensation by revealing a unique heptameric assembly of the wild-type Arabidopsis thaliana’s MSL10 ion channel.
Congratulations to the team for solving these cryoEM structures and contributing to a deeper understanding of the structural dynamics in plant physiology!
